Carrie Dicken: Ballet

Began her studies under the direction of Antonio Mesa in Little Rock Arkansas. Carrie has studied at The American School of Ballet in Chicago under the direction of both Asaf Messerer, who was the Ballet Master and Principle Dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet and Oleg Vinogredov, Director of the Kirov Ballet.

She also spent six seasons as a demi soloist with Ballet Arkansas under the direction of Kirt Hathaway as well as a faculty member to the Academy of Ballet Arkansas.

Carrie performed 4 seasons as a Principle dancer with Arkansas Festival Ballet under the direction of Dennis Poole, as well as a faculty member with Arkansas Academy of Dance.

She has taught classes of all levels for several academies and companies over the past 20 years and has had the opportunity to choreograph and produce several ballets such as Peter Pan, Cinderella, Coppelia, and Snow White. Musical Productions include: Oklahoma, Children of Eden, Aida, The Music Man, Into the Woods, Fiddler on the Roof and Peter Pan.

Carrie has developed a complete ballet syllabus that is being used in many studios throughout the United States, Canada, Australia and Europe. She is currently the Director or Dance for Blackbird Academy of Arts in Conway Arkansas, Guest teacher and choreographer for Long Lake Camp of the Arts in New York and in 2008 worked with Celebrity Cruise Lines as project manager dealing with all aspects of their current onboard productions and new show installs.
